set global mouse cursor theme

Sometimes it solves issues with different cursor themes, or issues with cursor itself, where it is set to 'default' in DM, but /usr/share/icons/default directory is missing.

create directory /usr/share/icons/default (if missing)
go to the directory and create file index.theme (if missing)
insert following content to it (or replace existing content)

[icon theme]
Inherits=Adwaita

Replace Adwaita with the name of your favorite (and installed) cursor theme.
Restart X
